Mrs. Bourtasenkov is known in the ballet world for a diversity that has won her critical acclaim both nationally and internationally. She has an extensive classical repertory and has danced Principal roles in ballets by, among others, George Balanchine, Anthony Tudor, Jose Limon, Robert Weiss, Lynne Taylor Corbett, Margo Sappington, Robert North, Timour Bourtasenkov, Johan Renvall, Michael Vernon, Agnes de Mille, and Norbert Vesak. Mrs. Bourtasenkov began her professional career with New Jersey Ballet Company where she quickly rose to rank of principal dancer. While dancing with New Jersey Ballet Company, she also joined Daring Project, a New York-based company co-directed by Valentina Kozlova and Margo Sappington. In 2000, she joined Carolina Ballet, directed by Robert Weiss, as a soloist dancer and continues her affiliation setting the children's roles in its annual production of the Nutcracker. In 1991, she started a professional non-profit ballet school in northern New Jersey, and her school was successful as a recipient of grants for projects on a statewide level. Mrs. Bourtasenkov currently co-directs Infinity Ballet Company and Conservatory with Mrs. Senchak and Mr. Bourtasenkov as Artistic Advisor. Infinity Ballet has been successful in producing dance performances for the community and is instrumental in education younger audiences in the art of dance with children performances, workshops, and lecture demonstrations.
