Why Are These Things Important To Us? And To You?
The aesthetic and athletic skills of dance are in many ways no more important than the underlying values, habits and perceptions that our process leaves with our students. Such critical self-actualization issues as work ethic, respect, discipline, the rewards of proper effort and importance of long range goals are values that are especially appropriate in today’s social and learning environments. And these values are there to stay, and grow, for a lifetime, even as the skills of dance, for some, become less important.
